Hey guys, I just needed to know if anyone had gotten any pics of my mate, Rukario in or out of suit? A lot of you know him by getting one of those acrylic fursuit tags from the Information Desk with Grandma Kage and a few others. Here is a pic of him in his suit:

If you saw his suit without the walker, that was his roommate, Esopus wearing the suit. Rukario only had a small amount of time to suit since he was at the Information Desk for majority of Anthrocon. Mainly during the fursuit parade. I want to find as many as I can so I can show my hybrid them. :) Thanks in advance guys!

Does anyone know of any clothing swaps being organized for the near future? Or even where I would look to find this information? Everything on yelp and meetup.com was old.

Thanks!

Name of Artist: Kitt Creations (Jess Kitt and Esuterure. RL: Jess Ivey and Me’Chelle Frederick)

Website: http://kittcreations.piczo.com/?cr=1

Character/species commissioned (link to photo/concept art): Domestic short-hair house cat. Reference art I sent: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1451925/

Links to picture(s) of your commissioned item: http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq242/KittCreations/Official%20Fursuit%20Gallery/Esuterure%20Fursuits/CatPartial.png Please note that even on HER website, she has blurred the photo in the lower left corner so that the poor workmanship is not visible.

Is the item old or new (if old, how long have you had it/when was it made?) New item.

--Grade each below aspect on a scale of 1 (worst) to 5 (best)--
Visual Aspect (does it match the concept art? Is it consistent with other items the maker has produced? Is it visually pleasing overall?): 1

Service Aspect (Deadlines. Communication. Little extras.): Negative Numbers. Once I placed my order (early April, around the ninth) and mailed off the shoes for the feet, I didn’t hear from the fabricators. The due date came and went. I sent a quick email to the effect of “what’s up?” in June and I was then told that Jess Kitt had to move. Some of the stuff for my suit was lost in that move. She’d do it as soon as she could. About a week later, I got another email saying that she was passing this off to her business partner, Me’Chelle. She packed up what she had, mailed it to Me’Chelle who had less than two weeks to complete the partial when they had known about/been paid for this order since April.

Workmanship Aspect (Is the sewing neat? Are things that should be sewn glued or vise versa? Does it fit? Has anything fallen off yet that shouldn’t have): Negative numbers. Spots on the wrists are on the incorrect sides. One ear is falling off of the hood. The tail has holes between the different fur sections and stuffing was coming out in one place. The pawpads on the handpaws are made of some type of paper.

Describe your Experience. Pros, Cons, Comments: The suit was a rush job and shows it.

I wanted to wear this to AnthroCon this year and it was promised to be ready before then (late April/early May as per Jess Kitt). I got it the Friday of the Con, July 3, the day I was to leave to attend the convention. I had to wait for it to come in the mail before I could leave for Pittsburgh which put me way behind schedule. When I opened the box, I realized I would need some repairs/alterations so I only took the tail which began to lose its stuffing. Had the project been completed within the original time allotment, I could have easily had the alterations done (and would gladly have paid for them).

When AC came and went, Kitt Creations searched publicly posted videos and photos of the Fursuit Parade looking for me in this costume (KC didn't attend). When they didn't see me in this, they sent hate email. I stated I wanted to make some corrections of errors they had made but since their nasty diatribe, I decided it was better to just cut ties immediately rather than suffer through another of the profanity strewn emails. I have also seen where this fabricator is posting negative reviews about me - not just as a commissioner but also as a person.

Final Grade (out of 5): Maybe a 0.5.

Examples of her emails and postings in and around the community: (Please forgive any errors in the screenshots - I've not used them before.)

My first contact with her about the fursuit is the second comment down (dated 1206, July 06, 2009): http://tinyurl.com/mb8zxe

My replies to her on her page (I ask that you overlook my language and emotion - this came at me out of the blue when I was tired from a long trip): http://tinyurl.com/m9585o

Her Ning sight where I am a constant topic, I'm sure. http://tinyurl.com/mvtm7q

Email I received from Me'Chelle and my reply: http://tinyurl.com/l4xzp5

The final exchange between myself and Jess Kitt: http://tinyurl.com/mzwxv2

The last transmission from Jess Kitt before I blocked her email: http://tinyurl.com/mgzxhw

I have done nothing to malign this person. I simply didn’t wear their suit and then was verbally attacked. They had to rush to complete this for me by AC? No, they didn’t. They had since April when the money was sent.

In the end, avoid these two at all costs. I will now face a life of harassment, stalking and diatribe from these two. I did feel, however, that I couldn’t keep quiet since she is in the furry community and won’t go away. I have saved all of her emails. I will admit that I feel a bit sorry for Me’Chelle as she has been suckered into Jess’s paranoia and sociopathic behavior and will now suffer for her association. She wasn’t as nasty as Jess.

As you wallow in the sticky armpit of summer a beastly horror approaches. Its name? McLovin. But just behind that horror is another, even more deformed horror called FurFright. It’s a Halloween-themed anthropomorphic convention run by fans, for fans. We work hard so it doesn’t suck . . . a lot.

FurFright has a coveted place in history as “The World’s Largest Anthropomorphic Convention In Waterbury, Connecticut”. It’s also known as the con that doesn’t take itself too seriously. We’re 7 years old and almost 1000 attendees strong. Big enough to frolic gaily with all our friends, but small enough to be personal, intimate, and laid back. No long lines and waiting 12 hours for a toilet, just girlish tittering and shenanigans.

We’ve got events and attractions like: Free Food Friday Furpocalypse (a night club with FREE food and game shows), the Dealers’ Dungeon and Artist Alley, 2 Fursuit Parades, Dances with music that doesn’t suck, Dance and Costume competitions, tons of Panels and Discussion groups, two huge Game Rooms (video and table top), Fursuit Games, the best Masquerade in the fandom, a FREE photo studio, and lotsa more!

1. Hotel Rooms Still Available & Room Placement

The discount FurFright rooms are sold out, but butt butt… YOU CAN STILL GET A ROOM IN THE MAIN HOTEL (at the normal hotel rate—around $149/night)!!! As per Holiday Inn Policy, they have to set aside a certain number of rooms for ‘regular hotel guests’ (lame, we know), so why not be regular?! Book your room for the desired nights but do NOT mention FurFright or the convention code. The most reliable method is to book by phone.

Also, if you have special room placement needs, fill out the placement form on the furfright.org website (http://www.furfright.org/hotel.htm).

All info (and our room placement form) can be found here: http://www.furfright.org/hotel.htm

If you can’t get a room in the main hotel, don’t worry! There are plenty of rooms at our OVERFLOW hotel -- the Holiday Inn Express. The room rate is $99 and they give you free breakfast! The overflow hotel is located just 4.5 miles from the main FurFright hotel. To reserve a room, either call the reservation number (1-877-863-4780) or go to their webpage: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hotel/wbyus The group code is: “fur”

Also, be sure to double-check the address of the hotel you're booking. The MAIN hotel is on East Main. The OVERFLOW hotel is on Union Street.

Sorry we keep selling out our hotel. It's the price we pay for not sucking.

------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Run A Panel/Class/Discussion Group (and be POPULAR)!

We need all you talented, knowledgeable furs to run panels, classes, and discussion groups at this year’s FurFright. So if you have an area of interest or expertise, please contact us! All topics and ideas are welcomed! Subjects like art (general or specific), fursuiting (building, maintenance, performance, social, etc), cosplay, Halloween (paranormal, animals in Halloween folklore, etc), the furry fandom, hobbies, social/meet and greet, etc. are needed.

To register your panel, class, or SIG go to: http://www.furfright.org/panel.htm
------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Have Your Artwork & Stories Published!

FurFright is looking for Halloween-themed artwork and writing to be featured in our conbook and on badges, flyers, t-shirts, and other areas of the convention. We’re going to be selecting many different pieces, so feel free to submit as many designs as you like.

Submit your work here:
(art) - http://www.furfright.org/submit_art.htm
(written work) - http://www.furfright.org/submit_written.htm
------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Gamers Wanted!

Want to get together with your fellow furs and play video and/or table top games? Well, run a gaming session or tournament at FurFright! We’ve got two huge gaming rooms, and there’s gonna be 1000 of your fellow furs and gamers at the con looking to throw down (or up), so lead them to the land of fun (and/or ridiculous game-related arguments)! To run a game or tournament email Spotweld (games2009@furfright.org) and he’ll get you on the schedule.

Hey everyone, I have a question regarding health care plans which is geared mostly towards current or past students at MA public schools (including the UMASS and state colleges).
I'm starting my sophomore year at an MA state college and because my school doesn't except my mother's insurance plan, I need to find a new one. After doing some research it looks like that the University Health plan (available to students at all umass/state colleges) is the best deal expense and coverage wise. I'm looking at the enrollment right now and it lists the available doctors, dentists, etc in my area (I live in the south shore of Boston when I'm not at school).

My questions...
1. Has anyone ever enrolled in this plan  before? Or known anyone who has? Any input on that is particularly appreciated.
2. If anyone has had any experiences with services at the following places I'd really appreciate it because I've never been to any of them before (my previous doctors/etc don't accept this health plan and I can't afford to go to them out of pocket)

Okay, so I am planning a Bachelorette for my best friend and wanted to take the group to Jacques Cabaret.  Apparently, even with calling a month in advance there are no tables available to reserve.

A few questions:
- Anyone have any pull at Jacques?  I'd be forever at your mercy...
- Anyone know what the odds of getting 15-20 of us in on a Saturday night in August without a reserved table?

I've never been there so I don't know how much space or how many people they let in above the maximum.

Anyone else have any cleaver ideas for a Bachelorette party in Boston, in addition to the typical get drunk and go to bars?

You see, this best friend took me pole dancing at Gypsy Rose so I wanted to "get back" at her with something as naughty.

The date is Saturday, August 15th and it can't really change...

Just fill out this survey on your favorite Last Res0rt Characters!

So... yeah. Getting into attack mode for AWA.

After this current batch of pages, I'm going to start working on pre-ordered commissions (and yes, I will announce who wins the freebie conbadge when I open up for 'em). Unfotunately, that's not all the pages that need doing up to AWA (just one page after that!), so I will need to do "some" work leading up to the show still.

I ended up working on a new poster for AWA as opposed to any of the other ideas I had -- yeah, it's about as expensive as doing the pins would've been, but hopefully it'll go over well. Doing the Cloisonne route would've required a preorder anyway, and with only a couple months left before the big event, that's a tight deadline to meet.

I might also go ahead and do some cell phone charms, if only because I still have a batch of shrinky dink charms sitting here that ought to be used for SOMETHING.

... and I'll have more of the buttons and bookmarks that did so well at MomoCon and FWA, of course. ^_^ Speaking of FWA, I've already gone ahead and picked up a table for FWA 2010, so that's good. Never hurts to plan too far in advance.

Two general admission tickets for next Tuesday, July 21st, at 1PM at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA. I'm asking slightly less than face value, so $50 for the pair (LiveNation's selling them for $26.25 each) plus however much shipping is if I have to mail them to get them to you in time.

Price negotiable. Make an offer.

They say to treat college like a full-time job, but it never really seemed that way to me. I think I finally figured out why (yeah, took me long enough). When I get up to go in the morning, I know it's just going to be another day of isolation. Boredom isn't really an issue for me because since I sit in a chair all day, I can just zone out for a while. Yesterday I had some coworkers come over to help me and they ended up just chatting for an hour. Even if they didn't include me it was still fairly enjoyable.

I sort of miss being a TA for classes. At least it gave me some form of interaction. It was really stressful having to learn all the material and actually sound coherent while I wing it in front of the class, though.

I think perhaps I'd be better suited for a managerial type position, or at least one where I'm working with a set team. What I've got for now is good though. Just things to aim for maybe.

Maybe I'm also stressed out because I still don't have a firm grasp of my job's responsibilities. One of my coworkers told me "nobody really expects anything out of you for a couple of months", which to me says "slack off more", and of course has the opposite effect. They're just getting me started, so sometimes I really have no direction. Maybe it was the way I was raised, or maybe it's my conditioning from the grocery store I worked at, but all I can think of when I'm idle is "do something before somebody sees you".

So much for that extra hour of sleep I didn't get, I gotta get going to my fun training class that totally screwed up my schedule for today. I think I'm getting Culver's afterwards since it's like two minutes from my work. *excited about Butterburgers*
